French Salting Pot
£285.00
An early 19th century French salting pot.
Crafted from earthenware with a rustic bulbous shape sitting on a tilt.
Decorated with repetitive thumb pinches along the edge of the pot lip, this primitive handcrafted ponne is akin to Japanese ‘wabi-sabi’ pottery.
A striking sculptural addition for interior or garden, complete with historic cracks and patches of algae commensurate with age, still a very a sturdy piece.
Internal Neck Opening diameter 21cm.
Also pictured with two of our smaller Salting Pots, listed separately.
