A late 19th century Chinese wardrobe.
Typical simple box like, square-cornered style, with heavy brass hinges and circular door hardware synonymous with oriental design.
Probably produced in Shanxi province in the late 19th century, with the elm wood finished in its original lush dark lacquer.
With one hanging rail inside and two internal drawers plus two further drawers below the doors, there is plenty of storage room.
The cabinet also has internal brackets so shelves can be added if desired.
A very stylish and sophisticated piece of furniture.
