Antique Indian Pidha Chair

An antique pidha chair – a traditional low stool in a rich, dark teak with beautifully carved back panel, on typical turned wood legs.

This traditional tribal pidha originates from Rajasthan. The chair has obvious signs of age with expected wear and tear, being traditionally used as a low seat in the Rajasthan desert or on the backs of camels.

The seats are made with cotton ropes using weaving techniques similar to those in charpoys, making them super comfy.
